Maestro / Composer / Writer / Producer / Singer

Jean M. Nelson (SADOUX)

Growing up as a young man, I knew that I had a gift. In Haiti, my parents’ main focus was for me to obtain an education.  I listened to music, but I was not yet in love with music. In 1993, I migrated to America and music was all around me. Not only did I listen to Hip Hop, R&B but I also continued to listen to “Kompa”, music from my homeland.   From listening to all of these genres of music, I felt the need to pursue the gift that I knew I was born with, but never got the opportunity to explore, and get the necessary training to develop it.   In 1994, my love for music grew when I met various friends including Jean M. Seide (Ke Popoz), Ismael Barthelemy (Rocket) and Rodrigue Achilles (Lom2fwa) who were musically talented. The love became a passion. The passion fueled my energy and desire to train myself. After many years of training myself, I became proficient enough and wanted to give back to not only my Haitian community but my community at large.

Today, I can proudly say that a major part of my dream has realized. As the Maestro of Vision-X, I was able to overcome many challenges that undoubtedly enabled me to achieve the Vision-X dream.  As a Maestro, Composer, Writer, Producer and Singer, I was able to master the complexity of Compas Music.  Presently, in my view, Vision-X has reached a pedestal where it can be recognized as one of the best Haitian Compas Bands in the industry.  Our long-awaited CD will reach the market with a variety of styles and flavors that will peak anyone’s interest.  I appreciate you taking the time to browse our website.
